INDIAN SHORES, Fla. (February 24th, 2010) -- Southwind Hotels and Resorts, a full-service hotel management company that specializes in properties in receivership and foreclosure, is pleased to announce that the Economy Inn on U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater has hired Southwind to take over full management services.
Currently under receivership (Southwind president Gilles Arditi has been appointed as receiver) and still open for business, the Economy Inn was officially taken over by Southwind on January 19. Along with overall management, Southwind is responsible for sales, marketing, accounting, and renovations if necessary.
"Although in receivership, the current owner as well as the receiver and the management company are diligently working together to improve the hotel," said Arditi. "We are focusing on service and customer satisfaction in order to increase sales, both to steer the hotel through this process and to position it for better economic circumstances ahead."
The Economy Inn is located at 20788 US Hwy 19 N, in Clearwater (33765), on the service road between Drew Street and Gulf to Bay Boulevard, near shopping and the new Clearwater baseball stadium, and with easy access to Tampa International Airport. The property includes 84 rooms with microwaves, mini-fridges, and balconies/patios; a 700 square-foot meeting room; and an outdoor pool. For more information, call 727.595.8747.
